Fujiya & Miyagi- David Best

The Luminaire, London, June 29th

I forgot my story cards when I went this gig, and so popped next door to a local newsagent, and bought a book of post cards instead. Fujiya singer chap seemed a bit confused but quite content to write a story straight away, which was cool. Too tired to stay around and wait for the other two though.

The Young Republic- Bob Merkl

& the second part. He went up and sat outside the store to compose and finish his masterpiece, making me fear that the story pressure was too much- but no, I really like this story also.

I made a flusterred job of asking for stories from tyr, with them all a bit confused, but Bob insisted he wasn't good at writing stories. Clearly a fibber.

The Young Republic- Chris Miller

Rough Trade shop, London, June 28th 2007

Much prefer his cool bass-playing than the band Saves The Day- at least, from that weird kid/singer at the front of that emo'ish song/video I remember from a few years back.

The Young Republic- MJ Kim

No jokes here, some scribbles about a cold heart on the back, but it may stay as a mystery.

The Young Republic- Kristin Weber

Lovely fiddling and singing from she!

The Young Republic- Julian Saporiti

Cool singer chap, with an equally great story. It was the last instore at Rough Trade's Covent Garden store, before the shop moves out somewhere bigger and out in East-land.
